The team has officially begun the debrief process after two final FULL fulfilling days of ministry. First, SUNDAY. In true style, the team exhibited patience and poise in the name of flexibility. Plans changed as roads were closed due to another Car-Free Sunday. But that did not deter nor discourage the team as they still served alongside the body of Christ at CGF and CLA (main campus). So much so that the Spirit fully filled the CGF team serving for 3 hours in children's ministry. Praise the Lord for His strength and creativity! After a refuel meal the team then headed to Busanza to teach and lead the almost 100 children there in a Bible lesson, games, and more. It was a GLORIOUS Sunday all for His glory.
Then MONDAY brought the wrap up of everything. The teams divided up again between CGF & CLA preschools to finish up their observations and lessons. It was bittersweet to spend a final morning with the most adorable preschoolers. Lunch came before the team then had an opportunity to engage in more of the city with a visit to the Craft Village and then a return to CGF for a beautifully organized time of appreciation and reflection with Pastor Etienne and team. It was a sweet time to say goodbye to their Rwandan team of translators, leaders, and now forever friends! It is hard to believe that the 2-week journey to Rwanda is coming to a close...but MAN did they do and see and experience and feel so very much in these long days.
With that, now pray for the team as they will "go dark" in the sense of updates in their final 48 hours in-country. Now is a crucial time for the team to remember and reflect upon their life-changing time in Africa. It was most certainly not an easy road to get there nor to persevere when legs were weary and eyes were heavy. But they most certainly did it and did it WELL for His Kingdom. So pray for this debrief process. Pray for hearts and lives to be totally transformed.
