Today was our recreation day. I am not including the "Rest" part of the R & R day because Tin had our team hike up a volcano 4 Kilometers up and down in the hot humid heat. It was a challenge for all the girls and parents to say the least. Some complaining at the beginning yet after the some reflection there was some good teaching moment to consider. The kids were grateful for Tin and her staff for wanting to share something special about their place, hiking up a volcano was a first for many, a sense of thankfulness and appreciation for the workings who live on this island and make a living everyday leading tourist up and down the steep hike to the volcano.
All in all it was a fun day and good group bonding. If any it was a day of extreme hike exercise. Better than going to the gym for sure.
Tomorrow we go to visit a private school which is a target school in terms of inviting the families to attend Saddleback Manila. Pray for a fruitful day.
