Our day consisted of lots of prep work for the entire week. We had a morning meeting with Tin to review schedule and mainly to discuss our first outreach to a local underprivileged elementary school. We reviewed supplies and had all the kids and adults work our their program and presentation for the event. We expect to serve 300 Children grades 1st-3rd doing Worship, Games, and Bible Teaching. We broke into three smaller teams as we plan to break the kids out by grade. We prepared over 300 snack bags and school supply bags.
Our morning session will be from 10-lunch time, but we will need to depart by 8am sharp due to traffic. Breakfast and Devo at 6am. We will eat lunch with school teachers and administration for the opportunity to share about who we are and Saddleback Manila. After lunch we will do work at the school consisting of painting and gardening. We will break into teams of painters and gardeners. TODAY will be a full day!
Pray for our energy & strength, safety, health, patience with each other, bonding and a fruitful day at the elementary school for changed hearts toward Jesus.
