First, THANK YOU for your first month with KSG Serve as a family. Our Kids Small Groups students brought in TONS of candy to share with literally hundreds of children at the Candy Stops for Blocktober 2013. Well done!
Second, here is information on the November KSG Serve opportunity - PEACE Toy Store
The PEACE Center is piloting a new Christmas opportunity that KSG will support. The PEACE Toy Store is a way to provide dignity for those in need while helping them give their children a Christmas they deserve. People will be paired with a Saddleback "Personal Shopper" who will spend time with them getting to know their story as they shop. They will get to pick a brand-new toy for their child that they feel will fit them perfectly, have it warpped on the spot and then be able to take it home as a gift they got for their child. As they walk out to the car, the "Personal Shopper" will pray for them and offer resources that the church has, as well as Christmas service times.
KSG students & families can:
1. Purchase a QUALITY toy(s) for a boy or girl, ages 0-18.
2. Bring the UNWRAPPED toy to KSG and drop it off in the marked bins on the first floor of the Children's Building.
