SK Rwanda Monday

After a good night's sleep the team is starting off fresh and zesty. Slowly but surely they are acclimating to Rwandan time and ready to roll into day #2 of ministry. Just to prove how fresh and zesty they are, Christian taught everyone how to do this incredible trick at breakfast

Love how kids are still kids and bringing joy and goofiness into the day. Pray for the team today as they spend the morning with the Rwandan PEACE team being orientated to Rwanda.  Pray for their hearts to be softened and compassionate as they go to the Genocide Memorial too. Then after lunch they'll head into afternoon ministry. Full day's update to come later as they wind down the day.

UPDATE: The team ended up having a full day of in-country orientation as the attendance at their scheduled afternoon ministry of leader training would have been light due to the country's remembrance of their Independence Day (July 1 - when it falls on a weekend they recognize the holiday the first of the week).  Needless to say, the team spent quality relational time with Gloria & Denis from CLA and Simon from CGF as they orientated them to Rwanda, PEACE and more. Great questions and conversations about the genocide were had and hearts were prepared for what the afternoon then held at the Genocide Memorial. The team spent precious time praying over the country, remembering what had occurred and praising God for the transformations across the Land of a Thousand Hills. Another early bedtime as heads were nodding off during dinner. Ready for a full day of ministry on Tuesday.
