SK Manila, 3 July (not as late as 2 July :-)

Return to Don Jose

Friday morning the team met for an early team devotional led by Lisa, Sophia, Bea, and Aiden.  We worshiped together and reflected on the impact this trip is having (and will have) on our lives.  We’ve spent the past nine days working as a cohesive unit with the clear purpose of sharing God’s love with the children of these south Manila communities.  This has been a unique opportunity because we are able to point these children to Jorin and the Saddleback Kids team here.  It is our prayer that these children will join us Saturday at the SK services, and then become regular attenders so they can continue to learn about Jesus and how much he loves them!

We took the late morning/early afternoon to visit Tagaytay City, and see some of the beauty of this island.  The team enjoyed learning more about Filipino food and customs.

We thoroughly enjoyed meeting and playing with the kids of Don Jose earlier in the week, so Jorin planned a return visit in the late afternoon.  It was another incredible time of loving on and connecting with these kids.  They were excited to see us again, and many of the kids remembered our names!  As we wrapped up our visit with them, we handed out invitations with the church service times.  Many kids said they would see us on Saturday!

Only one day left here in Manila!  We’re praying for the kids who will visit Saddleback Kids Manila for the first time on Saturday.  We’re praying for God’s strength and endurance as the team continues to serve Him in mighty ways!
