SK Argentina: DAY THREE (by Savannah Milam & Erin Johnson)

First, by Savannah...

Today we did PDCM or Purpose Driven Children's Ministry. It was a lot of fun. In the beginning there was some worship music, then Sophia and Savannah did some icebreaker questions. Also some people shared their testimonies. Those people were: Sophia and Tami Hund, Kellie Santos, the Heck family and Megan Cooksey. All of the kids also held up signs with problems that some kids face daily some of those were: anxiety, divorce, family problems, abandonment, and drugs. During another point when they were talking about having a sturdy base or beginning faith some of the kids and dads went up on stage and made a human pyramid. Anna B, Kellie, Sam, and Luke also went up on stage to talk about Saddleback Kids and what they love about it. Some of us also helped paint the Saddleback Kids room. We took off the stickers and covered the wall with white paint. While waiting for the paint to dry the kids all played foosball and Just Dance.

Hope all the dads back home had a magnificent Father's Day yesterday!  The PDCM conference went off without a hitch today!  The speakers were all amazing and the agenda ran smoothly.  I think it went even better than anyone could imagine.  There was a great turnout, worship ROCKED, the presentations and testimonies were impactful, and people connected and reached out to each other in so many ways.  We spent the whole day at church for the conference.  It was awesome to see all the kids on the team working together, whether they were speaking or helping with clean up, or painting the children's area!  Not one kid complained regardless of what was asked of them.  In fact, the kids were often asking, "what else can I do to help?"  (Let's hope that continues when we get back home.)  We are all enjoying the cool winter weather here, today we actually wore jackets and some even sported hats and gloves!  What a treat!  Tomorrow we head out bright and early to hand out flyers at local schools to invite them to Saddleback Church to practice English and also for a movie night to see Zootopia.  Today was another great day in Buenos Aires!
