SK Rwanda: DAY TWO

The team came off of a WONDERFUL Sunday worshiping alongside their Christ Gospel Fellowship family.  After a great night's rest, they were ready to begin Monday with their in-country orientation from the Rwandan PEACE Offices.  Always cool to be at the PEACE Offices, seeing what we do back at home in Rwanda.  After this time of orientation, the team headed for an emotional yet powerful time at the Genocide Memorial.  Hearts were deeply touched as they reflected on what the Land of a Thousand Hills had been through 20+ years ago.  Hard to believe that this beautiful country of joy and peace was once filled with such darkness; praise God for His presence now restoring a once broken land. The team discussed, debriefed and prayed all together after this deep experience.

After a nourishing Chinese lunch...yes, the best Chinese they've had...yes, in Rwanda...the team was ready for ministry.  They shared about what it looks like to be CONNECTED with the children's leaders at Christ Gospel Fellowship.  Such a sweet group of faithful leaders who need to be refilled and refueled in their tireless work ministering to children.  Precious moments with precious volunteers.  Grateful for this time of training and learning together.
