We finished our ministry with Sunday at both 9am and 11am services. Our team ran the SK services and spent time modeling the services for the SK volunteers. It was a long day of set up and tear down. The team was very tired yet energized to help our SK Family in Manila. We ended the evening with a meeting at the church office and a celebration dinner. They prepared a very traditional meal for our team eating the food with our hands. They gave us plastic gloves because we are Americans. It was delicious and the team really enjoyed the fellowship. It was also Sasha’s birthday so they had cake for her and sang her Happy Birthday.
After dinner, we honored the SK volunteers and Tin with token gift and a thank you letter. There were many tears as we said our good byes and reflected on what God did this past week.
We also made time for affirmations before dinner. We are packing tonight and will finish our affirmation at our morning devo time. Then we will drive toward Manila for some sightseeing and then to the airport.
