SK Rwanda: Saturday June 23

Today was the much-anticipated day of Kids Small Groups discipleship training for the CLA Leaders and churches they invited.  The team was honestly a smidge nervous never having led a full-fledged training/conference for such a long time.  But they rose to the occasion mightily, especially under what we are coining DouglasTraining.com.  Particularly Terry once again took his leadership gifts and expertise as a KSG leader to provide the structure that the rest of the team likewise rose up to teach, discuss, and create together.  They blessed 60 leaders from 8 different churches in how they too could think differently about discipleship of children.  Way to go!

After this long day of training that lasted through a shared lunch at CLA, the team was ready for some reflection and rest time.  It has been a FULL time of ministry in Rwanda from sun up to sun down, literally.  So a visit to RZ Manna for a little sweet treat was welcomed and needed.  The team now is wrapping up the day post-dinner with some team time in preparation for their last Sunday with their home churches - CLA & CGF.  It is hard to believe they are winding down to the final 48 hours of full ministry days before beginning the full-fledged debrief process.  Trust me, there is LOTS to debrief after everything this team has seen, felt, and experienced.  Pray for the final days of ministry to be powerful and action-packed.  Pray for continued health to cover the team.  Pray for each and every moment to truly sink in as they reflect on the relationships, memories, and moments that began one week ago today in Rwanda.
