SK Rwanda UPDATE (Wednesday & Thursday)

So sorry for the delayed update on the SK Rwanda team...the team is doing SO much in so little time that the days are quickly passing and melding together.  Let's start with WEDNESDAY 6/20:

The team divided up again between CLA & CGF preschools to work with the littlest ones to observe lessons and then lead the Bible lesson for the day.  The focus was on GROW and the preschoolers loved the fun "Stop & Grow" game to the happy/sad face craft remembering Saul's transformation into Paul.  Between the 2 teams almost 100 preschoolers were taught about growing in their relationships with Christ.

After a nice team lunch the team showed what they have shown throughout this trip flexibility as plans changed.  In fact, that is the new plan/norm they are used to is no plan just GOD'S plans most of all.  All that to say, we went to a hospital clinic where the team loved on children and mamas in the pediatric and neonatal units with words of prayer, gentle touches, comforting hugs, and nourishing fruit & juice.  It was heartbreaking to see the sickness but hopeful that our Mighty Physician can and will heal.

It was an "early" night in (which really is not early considering the LONG days the team has championed through prior).  On the way back to the Iris, the team dropped of Liza, Kimberly & the Summers to lead a 2-hour preview training with the core kids discipleship leaders of CLA.  It was a powerful time to see how passionate these leaders are, the profound questions they have, and the desire to see lives transformed through children's discipleship.  It was just a sneak peek of the larger conference that will take place on Saturday with more children's leaders.

Today (Thursday) the team traveled for their 1st of 2 days to Ruhuha were they partnered with a CGF church plant to minister to what they thought would be preschoolers.  They prepared for 200 but maybe there would only be 20...well continuing to demonstrate UNBELIEVABLE flexibility they ended up ministering to 250 in the morning and another 250 this afternoon for a grand total of 500 kids from the nearby school. WOW! And they did so with such stride and strength even being 5 team members down (Liza is departing home today, Holaday ladies & 1/2 of team Douglas needed a rest/recoup day).  It was AMAZING to see God work in and through these mighty warriors.  Woohoo!

Now they are journeying home to prepare for another full day of ministry there.  Your prayers are being heard and felt as the team continues to do unexplainable things in teaching, training, touching, and transforming lives for the Kingdom.  We love you!
